This niggun came as I was closing the chickens at Eden Village Camp in the haze of an Elul evening, the sun just set and the sky still bright, the yellows and purples of the flowers showing their late-summer abundance. I was remembering the bit of Torah about how in Elul, the king, or majesty, is in the field. There was so much beauty and so much change to see all at once, and this tune came to express the words I couldn't capture for it.
